More than 90 percent of women have cellulite. If you’re one of them, you’ve probably tried a number of things to get rid of it, from diet and exercise to home treatments and creams. And, you’ve probably found that most of your efforts have been in vain.

Until QWO, it required more invasive procedures to smooth cellulite for good. QWO is a cutting-edge, highly advanced injectable that gets rid of cellulite from the source.

What is the source of cellulite?

Cellulite is caused by fibrous cords (also known as septae) under the skin that connects it to the muscles underneath. These cords run through a layer of fat cells between the skin and the muscles. As the skin thins or fat cells accumulate, the cords pull more tightly downward. The fat cells push upward, and the result is cellulite--dimpled, uneven skin.

QWO targets and dissolves these fibrous cords in order to smooth the cellulite away.

What is Qwo?

FDA approved QWO (rhymes with go!) is the first and only injectable of its kind to treat cellulite in the buttocks. There are no other non-invasive treatments available for cellulite, which is why QWO is such a technological advancement.

QWO is made from CCH (Collagenase Clostridium Histolyticum), an enzyme that destroys the collagen protein that builds septae, the cords that cause cellulite. QWO is designed to dissolve and release these fibrous cords, which helps redistribute the fat cells evenly. QWO also stimulates the growth of new collagen, which builds a stronger skin structure and strong, new skin cells. This helps you achieve thicker, firmer, and smoother skin, which further wards off cellulite.

After QWO, you’ll have smoother, more dimple-free skin in the buttocks, which will become firmer and tighter over time as the boost in collagen production continues to produce beneficial results.

Immediately before your QWO treatment

As a part of planning and preparing for your QWO treatment, we will ask you to stand with your feet apart and fully relax your body, which will help us determine exactly where your cellulite dimples are. We will select your cellulite dimples that should be treated, and these will be marked with a dot and circled on your skin.

During your Qwo treatment

Once your treatment begins, QWO is injected into your buttocks. The injections are done precisely in specific, targeted areas to dissolve the septae that are causing the cellulite dimples. We can treat up to 6-12 dimples per buttock, a total of 12-24 dimples, during each treatment period.

We will ask you to lie face down. The QWO injectable is administered by our MedSpa of highly trained nurse injectors. You will then remain lying down for another five minutes or so to allow the treatment to take full effect.

Your procedure will take about fifteen minutes and is relatively painless. There is no need for a numbing agent before the procedure, although you will experience a sore feeling in the treated area for a few days. This feeling is similar to the soreness you might feel in your muscles after a strong workout session at the gym.

Results & Recovery

To fully complete your QWO treatment process, you will have two more treatments over the next month and a half.

After your first treatment, you will have some bruising in the treatment area and some soreness. This is less significant after the second and third treatments. One of the benefits of QWO is that there is no recovery period or downtime. You can get right back to your day and continue your usual routines and activities.

After your second QWO treatment, you may see improvements in about three weeks. However, your final results are evaluated 28 days after your third and final QWO injection treatment. At that point, your skin will be smoother and firmer, and you’ll be able to enjoy a definite decrease in cellulite dimples. Your QWO results will last for a year or even longer.
