Restylane Baltimore Artistry In Plastic Surgery

Restylane is an ideal facial filler, increasing volume and rejuvenating your youthful appearance.

Some patients may suffer from trouble areas, like lines that run from your nose to the corners of your mouth, the area just below the nose, above the upper lip, the corners of the mouth, and the lower area of the face towards the jawline. Injectable fillers, such as Restylane® can add volume and fullness to skin, correcting those undesired facial wrinkles and folds. For patients over the age of 21, Restylane can also be used to plump lips. Dr. Birely adds volume and helps rejuvenate your appearance as a top provider of Restylane Baltimore has to offer.

Restylane Baltimore

What Is Restylane?

Restylane, also known as a “liquid facelift” works immediately by adding volume and smoothing away wrinkles. As a clear gel formula, Restylane is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid. Because of its use in the body, the filler breaks down naturally over time. Restylane also exists as the only FDA approved filler for lips.

Patients in Baltimore May Wonder

Am I a Good Candidate for Restylane?

If you are interested in plumper lips, a smoother complexion, and a more youthful appearance, Restylane may benefit you. Both men and women may turn to facial fillers for solutions and are good candidates for Restylane. However, there are some risks to treatments. Those who experience intense allergies may not be eligible for treatment. Individuals with allergies to microorganisms known as gram-positive bacteria, or lidocaine cannot be treated with Restylane. Scheduling a consultation at Dr. Birely's Baltimore office will allow him to determine your candidacy. During a consultation, Dr. Birely will consider your needs in light of the abilities of Restylane.

What can I Expect from a Restylane Treatment?

A Restylane treatment will typically last less than one hour. After an appointment, patients are encouraged to review information given to them by Dr. Birely. Although few side effects are associated with Restylane, it is important that you are aware of them. Dr. Birely can inform you about the signs of these possible side effects. These effects may include infection, skin nodules, or coloration of the skin.

After an initial appointment, patients may also be encouraged to schedule a follow up appointment for touch ups. Restylane will typically last 9 months, but touch ups can promote even longer results.

How Long is Recovery from Restylane?

After your treatment, patients can expect to notice their new looks right away. You might notice mild swelling, redness, pain, bruising or tenderness, but these will subside over time. Before your treatment, Dr. Birely may recommend that you keep a flexible schedule for the days following your treatment. Your skin may take up to 2 weeks for full healing. Your results, by that time, should also reach completion. In most cases, your skin should be smooth and any previous folds will appear less noticeable. As a top provider of Restylane Baltimore has to offer, rest assured that Dr. Birely is dedicated to helping you reach your desired appearance.
